Chair Practical Diary 5th March
At the start we were told tht we only had 3 lessons left to finish the project and had to make a mental note of what we still had left to do. I had cut out all my pieces and just had to cut out 9 slots, 3 per lesson I thought. I started off and finished the side piece I had already done one slot on and then the other side piece without anything going wrong. When I started on the first slot on the seat piece I immediately broke a saw blade on the scroll saw (there must be something wrong with the packet) and decided to use a coping saw instead. I did the 4 remaining slots and constructed my chair by the end of the lesson. It is just a bit wobbly. In the final 2 lessons I will shorten one of the legs to stop it wobbling and finish off all the edges.
